Battery replacement
Batteries are consumables: every charge cycle wears them a little. If your phone dies early, shuts down in the cold, or shows a swollen back panel, the battery has done its job and wants to retire. Replacement is one of the most cost-effective repairs you can do — it often makes a two-year-old phone feel new.

Sounds familiar?
Common symptoms
- Battery percentage drops suddenly, or the phone dies above 20%
- The phone only works while plugged in
- Noticeable heating during normal use or charging
- Back glass or screen lifting — a sign of a swelling battery
- Battery health below ~80% on iPhones, or a phone that ages badly through the day
Behind the symptom
Probable causes
- Normal chemical ageing — most lithium batteries are designed for roughly 500–800 full cycles
- Heat exposure: gaming while charging, dashboard mounts in summer, cheap fast chargers
- Deep discharges — repeatedly running the phone to 0%
- Physically damaged or bent cells after a drop
Step by step
How the repair works
Health check
We read the battery's actual condition and rule out software or charging-port causes first — sometimes the battery is innocent.

Replace
The old cell is removed without prying against it (swollen cells are handled with extra care), and the new one seated with fresh adhesive.
Verify
Charge-discharge behaviour and heat are checked before handover, and the old battery is disposed of responsibly.

Good to know
Before you visit
- A swollen battery is urgent: stop charging the phone and bring it in — do not press the bulge or puncture it.
- Charge above 20% if possible so we can test before-and-after behaviour.
- Back up your data as a precaution, as with any repair.
FAQ
Questions we hear every day
Is a swollen battery dangerous?
It needs prompt, careful handling — a punctured lithium cell can catch fire. Stop charging the phone, don't press the bulge, and bring it in. Our technicians remove swollen cells with the right tools at an ESD-safe bench.
Will a new battery fix my slow phone?
Often, partly. Some phones deliberately slow down to protect a weak battery, so replacement restores speed. If the slowness is storage or software related, we'll tell you during diagnosis instead of selling you a battery.
How long does a replacement take?
It is typically a while-you-wait repair when your model's battery is in stock — message the branch on WhatsApp first and we'll confirm.
Should I replace the battery or the phone?
If the phone otherwise works well, a battery is far cheaper than an upgrade. If other faults are stacking up, we'll say so honestly — and can quote an exchange value against a certified pre-owned phone.
